Mobile Device Management in SCCM 2012 R2
Back to ConfigMgr main menu
Mobile Device Management was introduced as a feature in SCCM 2012 SP1. The functionality was provided by integration with the Windows Intune online service. Many enhancements have been made in R2 and Microsoft MDM has now become a "real player" in this space.
I previously blogged on MDM capability in SP1 and apologize for any duplication. This series will be a complete management implementation using R2. I will show how to manage iOS, Android, Windows RT and Windows 8 Phone (ironically the most difficult) devices. I have also included basic management of legacy devices using the Exchange connector.
(Note that if you wish to manage Windows 8 Phones you should proceed directly to that section. Setting up a Windows Developer Account and purchasing a Symantec Enterprise Code Signing Certificate can be a lengthy process so you should start with that. This can take several days.)
You can find a full list of compliance settings for mobile devices in the Technet Library
